The first cheesecake factory opened in Riyadh yesterday and I decided to pay a visit. Initially, I thought cheesecake factory was known for it’s…well, cheesecake. But I was told by some friends that the actual main courses are one of the reasons why the restaurant is so popular. Living in Saudi means everything is halal. Yep. No more checking behind sweet packets ever so slowly muttering prayers, hoping that painful g word doesn’t greet you. No more looking at the vegetation options in certain restaurants even though you’d enjoy nothing more than a meaty dish. It feels bloody fantastic to be able to grab anything off of the shelf and buy it without a moment of hesitation. However, this has definitely had an effect on my eating habits so I’ve decided to share a few of them. Keep reading!
Last week, I decided to visit this really cute cafe in Holborn because
1. It’s halal
and
2. it was about a minute’s walk from where I was doing my course.
As you’ll notice, I’ve never done a food review before but it is something I’d been thinking about trying out recently and after visiting a burger restaurant a few days ago, I thought I’d give it a go.
